# Privacy Policy, Couples Conversations
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This app, Couples Conversations, is provided by A Sytner Consulting, LLC (“we,” “us”). We care about
your privacy, and we built this app to keep your relationship private by design. This policy explains
what we collect, what we do not, and the choices you have.
## The short version
Almost everything you do in this app stays on your own phone. We do not have accounts, we do not
log in, and we do not keep a copy of your conversations, answers, quiz results, check-ins, or notes on
any server. We cannot read them. The only information that ever leaves your device is your email
address, and only if you choose to give it to us.
## What stays on your device (and never reaches us)
All of your personal relationship content is stored locally on your phone and is not transmitted to us
or anyone else:
- The conversation topics and questions you open, and anything you type in response
- Your relationship quiz answers and your color-band snapshot and history
- Your daily check-ins
- The appreciation notes you write
- Your partner’s first name and your own first name, if you enter them
- Your progress and settings
If you delete the app, this information is removed from your device. We never receive it, so there is
nothing for us to delete on our end.
## What we collect, and why
Your email address, only if you give it. The app may invite you to enter your email to receive
relationship tips and updates. This is optional. If you choose to provide it, your email is sent to our
email service provider, Systeme.io, which stores it and helps us send those messages. You can
unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. If you never enter your email, we collect
nothing about you.
Purchase information, handled by Apple. If you buy the full unlock or a topic, the purchase is processed by the app store you bought from, Apple or Google Play, and by our purchase provider, RevenueCat, which helps us confirm and restore purchases. We do not see or store your payment card details.Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat process a purchase receipt so the app knows what you have unlocked. See Apple’s and
RevenueCat’s own privacy policies for how they handle that data.
## What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- We do not show third-party ads.
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to data brokers.
- We do not require an account, a login, or a password.
- We do not read, store, or transmit your conversations, answers, or notes.
## Not therapy, not an emergency service
Couples Conversations is an educational tool meant to help the two of you talk, reflect, and grow
together. It is not therapy, counseling, or any other clinical service, and it does not diagnose or
treat any mental health or relationship condition. Using this app does not create a therapist-client
or other professional relationship between you and Dr. Ari Sytner or A Sytner Consulting, LLC.
This app is not an emergency service and cannot respond to you in real time. If your relationship does
not feel safe, if you are experiencing abuse, or if you or your partner are in crisis, please do not
rely on this app. Contact a licensed mental health professional, local emergency services, or a
domestic violence or crisis hotline in your area.
## Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app may send you a gentle local reminder (for example, when your partner
shares an appreciation). These are generated on your own device. We do not run a server that sends you
push messages.
## Children
This app is intended for adults in relationships and is not directed to children. It includes an
optional, off-by-default topic with mature themes that you must deliberately turn on. Please do not use
the app if you are under the age permitted in your country, and do not provide us your email if you are
a minor.
## Your choices and rights
You are always in control:
- Your content: it lives on your device. You can clear it in the app, or remove everything by
deleting the app.
- Your email: you can unsubscribe at any time, or contact us to have it removed from our list.
Depending on where you live (for example, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California), you
may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you (which, for us,
is only your email if you provided it), and to object to its use for marketing. To exercise any of these,
email us at the address below and we will respond. We do not sell personal information as defined under
California law.
The legal basis for sending you marketing email, where required, is your consent, which you give by
entering your email and which you can withdraw at any time.
## Data retention
We keep your email only for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe or ask us to remove
it, we delete it from our active mailing list. Your on-device content is retained only on your device,
under your control, for as long as you keep the app installed.
## No guarantees, no warranty
We built Couples Conversations from real clinical experience, and any research or teaching referenced
in the app is general in nature, not personalized advice for your specific situation. We do not
guarantee that using this app will improve your relationship, resolve any conflict, or produce any
particular outcome. The app and its content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind,
express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Sytner Consulting, LLC is not liable for any damages arising
from your use of, or inability to use, this app.
## Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law
principles.
## Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date
above. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
